Annual Feast, 2011:
The annual feast of the chapel of St. Anthony at Pakala, Manjarapalke, Belman, was celebrated on 12th & 13th June 2011 with utmost devotion. Thousands of devotees took part in the celebration on both days.
On Sunday, 12th June, the festive celebrations after three days of Novena preceding this day, flagged off at 6:00p.m. with the offering of Holy Mass by Most Rev.Dr. Aloysius Paul D'Souza, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, and other priests joining him in the concelebration. Earlier, the bishop was received at the entrance of the shrine with love and respect.
Then, the Bishop proceeded to lay the foundation stone for the new chapel building. Hundreds of people bore witness to this important event. This ceremoney was succeeded by the liturgy of Divine Word.
On Monday, 13th June, the celebration began at 10:00a.m. with the distribution of festive candles to the Patrons, Benefactors and the Donors as a mark of respect followed by offering of festive solemn Holy Mass by Very Rev. Stany Tauro, Vicar Vara of Shirva Deanery. Sixteen priests drawn from both inside the Deanery and outside as well, took part in the concelebration. On this occasion, Rev.
